The Edit window appears when you choose View Source from the Microsoft Internet Explorer or run a script in which a Stop statement is encountered. Use the Edit window to edit scripting code. You can open as many Edit windows as you have files in the Project Explorer, so you can easily view and edit the code in different scripts or files, and copy and paste between them.


Note  You can't edit code until the file that contains the code is completely downloaded to your computer.

The Edit window has all the standard editing features of the Notepad application, including the Save and Save As ... commands. You can split an existing Edit window horizontally or create a duplicate Edit window using the New Window command on the Window menu.

The Edit window has the following elements:
Client Area
The main area of the Edit window where the code appears and editing occurs.

Margin Indicator
A gray area on the left side of the Edit window. At this time the Margin Indicator serves no purpose in the Edit window.
